During floods in bombay (india) my music system was washed away......Tape, Radio, etcc....are working fine.....my model number is MHC RV600D Sony.....only DVD is not working.....neither the ROM is coming out...i havent given it to a sony showroom for repir.....but does anyone knows what the problem is and whats the solution????

My educated guess is that it is broke!

First, you are in a Sony Remote Control forum, and second, it is very difficult if not impossible for anyone to estimate repair costs.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune and hope you are coping well, but your best bet is to take it in and get an estimate for the repairs or, if the system is inexpensive, consider replacing it.
