I'm trying to get my AX4000 to boost its signal strength via the PC software bundled with the remote. I reviewer on another site suggested that there is a specific setting within the software that can accomplish this -- but I can't find it, even in the "advanced" functions settings. The reason I ask is that I have to point the remote DIRECTLY at my Motorola DVR in order for it to work, which is frustrating because I can point the remote at any other angle for all of my other components. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried editing the key press time length? I found that with my Digital Satellite receiver it would only turn it on intermittently until I made the key press length longer. It didn't take much I made it 1 sec. and now it works everytime.
