How do the 2 units compare to ease of use and ease of programing ?

I'm looking for something user as friendly as an AMX or Crestron but without the cost.

I have a receiver, laser disc, cassette, VCR , TV and cable box that I want to setup - all not Sony.

I need a few macro's so that when I want to watch cable TV (for example), with one button, the receiver will go on (and the several buttons on it are activated in case they were not set for TV during the last use), the cable box is turned on and the TV is turn on (and set to A003 in case it was on EXTERNAL from watching a laser disc, etc the last time). I need other macros for the laser disc and VCR with a similar type of setup.

I know the Marantz RC2000 can do it but it is a pain to program - I have one but the dog just ate it and I do not look forward to programing another !

Thanx
