I should have it by today or tomorrow, give me a little reinsurance I purchased the best remote control out there.

While it may not be the absolute best (heck, you can spend $3000 on a *fantastic* remote/whole home automation system) it is a wonderful, versitile remote for the money. I use one at home... enough said. :-)

I agree with the assessment. It is a typical Sony product - well engineered and built. The only shortcoming, from my persepctive, is that the labels are fixed for buttons, so things like swapping picture in picture, etc. must be assigned to buttons whose labels are not consistent with their newly assigned functions.

Other than this shortcoming, I like mine fine.

I think this is the greatest think since Beta, no make that quad, no make that 8-track!!

But seriously, this is really a great remote. I had (up until a few days ago) ten remotes on my coffee table. Now I have only one. This Sony learned all my other equipment... tv, receiver, DAT, CD changer, two S-VHS and one super-Beta, a
DVD, LaserDisc and a satellite dish amplifier.

I have tried Universal remotes over the years and in my opinion, this is the first time they got it right!!
