Is anyone aware of a way to create a long delay between commands in a Component macro? I'm aware of how to maximize the interval between commands up to 900 milliseconds and the use of the Timer button to insert a short delay.

However, I need a delay of 40-45 seconds to allow my projector to accept follow-on commands after power-on, i.e. a delay between power-on and the next commands to set input, aspect ratio, etc.

I've used a series of real and dummy commands up to the limit of 32 commands, but this gets me right on the borderline of 40 seconds....perhaps not quite enough. And I'd like to avoid the long series of beeps (which can be turned off but I prefer to hear them for more normal operations, especially on the touch pad).

Thanks for any help!

I would set your "OFF" macro to go to the input on your proj that you use the most.
Cable or sat. Then once its on you can select DVD or VCR or whatever.
I use this on almost all of my remotes that I program.
Be sure to give you proj a chance to switch to the selected input before you select off.

cb1, thanks. I appreciate the idea.

I'm trying to make the operation super-simple so that a one-button, 2-second press can get everything going for a particular activity, e.g. watch TV, watch DVD. And the same one button turns everything off. Off course Power is toggled for everything, but that seems to be working OK.

Using all 32 steps in a macro (some dummy), I'm able to 1) power on the projector & amps, 2) dim the lights, and at the end of the macro 3) switch the amp & projector to the correct input, user settings, etc.

So, I seem to have gotten what I wanted, but I'm on the edge of the projector warm-up cycle within the time it takes to run the macro (with 900 ms intervals).
