Hello, has anyone sucessfully programed a user defined touch screen button? In the manual; it sounds like you can add and define additional touch screen buttons. However when I follow the directions; it doesn't work. I would like to add some additional controls for my system and to do so I need to add custom labled touch screen buttons.

If anyone can help, I would really apperciate it.
Thank you,
Cameron

Here's my standard list of helpful things that I put in for newcomers. To answer your specific question, if you are talking about the square buttons then you can only scroll through the choices, but the rectangular buttons will accept relabelling of names up to 8 characters long. If by add you mean changing the function of a button, the learn process will do that.

Your question, and many others which may come up, will be answered somewhere in the following threads.

You can relable the bottom 4 and learn what you want to them, there are 4 on each component page , 3 pages per component for a total of 12 for each component. You can set up a four step macro on those, as well as any other button.
the square buttons on the touch screen have 4 layered pre labled options, you cannot relable them. For example on the "AMP" the dvd button has , return, info dvd, and main/sub as your prelabled options.

why have a nice system if you cant operate it, program the remote the right way the FIRST time!
