I'm considering the purchase of the Sony RM-VL710 remote - based on the review here. My Radio Shack learning remote (a few years old) will not learn some features of my newer equipment. My new TV (Sony KDF-E50A10) has a button labeled "wide" for toggeling through stretch, zoom and wide zoom. Will the RM-VL710 remote be able to learn that function? Also, will the main features of a Scientific Atlanta 3250HD cable box work with this remote? Thank you in advance.

You should be able to learn the toggle command, and any other commands from the TV that you need. The 710 will probably support the main functions but you should be able to learn the rest from the original remote.
