Hello all,

This is my first post. I just bought the Sony RM-V302 and tried to program it for my Samsung DVD-5500 DVD/VCR combo. Well, nothing works. At first I was selecting the "DVD" button, tried the codes and then did the code search. Nothing. Next, out of desparation, I selected the "VCR" button and tried the same thing all over again. Nothing works. One thing I found (which annoyed me once I found it) is that the genuine Sony manual tells you to press the "set" button and THEN press the "POWER" button, which to me sounds like you press them in sequence. I learned from this site that you have to press them simultaneously! Well, I tried that too, still no luck.

I notice that there is no section on the remote's instructions for DVD/VCR combos, just either DVD OR VCR's. Does that mean that I cannot use this remote? Please help!

To make the story short, there are no combo codes and without learning you are out of luck.
