I am trying to program my AV-3100 to run my Panasonic AV Controler Receiver SA-HE100 and having a lot of trouble. I have done the preset for the AMP on my remote but it will only run basic functions of on/off and volume. In the touch screen area the CD buttom will work but nothing else. I have tried to use the learn function to set TV or Tuner mode and it beeps once like it accepted the learning but when I try those settings it doesn't work. Now when I try and redo or change those setting that I had programmed it beeps NG. I think I am pretty technical but I am really struggling with the directions and getting them to work. I have tried to unlock these buttons per the instructions but it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas out there? I have seen pretty good feedback regarding this remote online and would expect more out of Sony but maybe I am missing something.
Thanks for your help, John

The AV3100 has a problem with locking the entire screen when certain commands are learned, or are learned from certain remotes. This is probably what happened here. Sometimes the learning method affects this, so try holding the remotes farther away, or closer to, each other when learning.

If you have tried to clear the entire screen and it locks the remote, the only solution is a complete reset. Doing this will clear everything you have previously learned.

Before doing a complete rest, if you are planning to, try learning one command at a time on a new screen, and each time see if you can delete that command. Eventually you may find the command that is locking the 3100, or it may have just been a random occurrence, in which case it might be safe to try again.

Let us know how this works out for you.

Thanks for the help. I reset it back to factory seetings and started over and it worked. I am starting to get the hang of how to program it. I setup a few macros and they work fine. I would like to be able to change the labels on the standard touch screen buttons but was struggling with the instructions. I see how you can make a label when you do a learn function but some of the stock buttons work ok but the name isn't correct. Let me know if there is a way to do that. Thanks again for your help.
