I just got the Sony STR-D865 receiver, and my RM-AV3100 does not work with it correctly. I can turn the power on/off, but I cannot get all of the different features to work (for example, the volume control does not work, and also there is no button for my LD selection). The codes supplied with the instructions do not help. Does anyone know the correct code(s), or where I can go to look? Thanks in advance!

I couldn't find a manual for the STR-D865, but the remote for it also comes with the STR-GX700ES, which was made in 1995, so if the STR-D865 is that old, then there is no AV1/AV2 setting and the linked thread won't help. If it was made after 2002, then the link might help even though that model is not listed because you could try some of the procedures given there for other receivers.
Does anything work besides the power? If it does, then the problem is that not all functions are included in the preset code for the 3100. Also, I think this might be a tuner, which makes it harder because Sony doesn't provide a lot of functions that a tuner uses.
Do you have the original remote to learn from? If so, that would be your best bet.
