Hi, I'm trying to find a retailer in UK for the subject remote without success :o(
Can anyone recommend one?
I assume that a remote purchased from the states will work fine with UK purchased equipment, would that be correct?
Any help appreciated.
TIA
Mart

Well no response here then :o(

I've tried several Sony retailers here in the UK and all no good......never heard of it, not in the brochure so doesn't exist according to them!
Does anyone know if this model remote will appear in Europe anytime soon?

Some reponse from here would be nice ;o)

Sorry about the non-response but there isn't much I can tell you, and probably most others who frequent this site.

Have no idea if or when it will be available in Europe, and don't know of any shops that will ship overseas, or any in the UK.

As for working in UK, it will probably not have codes for many of the makes and models available there, and also will not have certain unique keys, like teletext and fasttext, but it is a learning remote and you would be able to learn the commands.

I don't have any experience with this model yet, but typically Sony learning remotes have a large capacity so you should be able to learn everything you need.

OK Ron,
Many thanks for the reply anyway!
Maybe I'll make an attempt to purchase from the states over the web and give it a try.
Not too expensive, even if it isn't too successful eh!

Happy New Year all.

There aren't many places in the States that have them in stock, and I don't know of any that will ship overseas. eBay may be your best option (there is one on eBay right now from a seller that will ship to the UK). I bought one a couple weeks ago, and I'm pretty happy with it. I would probably be less happy with this remote if I used the numeric keypad more often (it is way too big, IMO). But my other complaints are pretty minor and are pretty much covered by the review on this site.
