What's up all, Quick question...Programmed my buddy's 2500, but the "punchthroughs" won't work... Read on the review that no learned codes can be used for the automated punch through feature...That explains why it is not working right now... So my question is, can I program the "hard-buttons" with an alias or can they only be applied to the LCD buttons.
Thanks! Gary

I can't tell from the manual if you can use a hard key for an alias function, but it is real easy to find out. Try it, and if it works, it works.
Since you can learn commands on the hard keys, it may allow you to also program alias functions on them.

Yes, aliases can be to hard buttons. This is a specific scenario mentioned in my review. :-)
