I like the new bbs. I wan reading msgs when the change happened and I thought that I jumped to a different site !!! heh heh

Question on the av2000, in your review page you say :
----34 touch pads on the LCD screen. 33 can be assigned a function, and some can be assigned double-key functions, ie. direct selecting the video inputs on your TV. -----
The double function like selecting the video on the TV is something I cannot find in the manual.
Can you please tell where to find this info or how to do it.
Its very important to have the remote switch your TV to Video when say, you use the VCR and so on.

Thanks
Ziad

It took me a minute to remember what I meant by that, but here it is.

On page 12 of your manual, right column, it describes how by pressing TV/VIDEO and a number from 0 through 6 you can have it direct-select VIDEO1, VIDEO2, VIDEO3, etc.

While I haven't actually done this, I figure that the recording procedure would be the same as programming the REC+PLAY key, by hitting both keys at once.

Naturally, you're not limited to simply TV inputs: you could use this feature to sneak a few more unrelated signals in the same screen.

Thanks,
I just can't for the life of me understand what the manual is trying to say on page 12.

Has anyone gottern this to work?
Has anyone properly gotten the remote to auto select the TV input signals?
For example, at the the push of one button, say DVD, have the TV actually switch to Video1?
I have an all sony system and the learning (limited) learning remote I got with my system does a better job of setting the amp and the tv to the proper input mode.
So I'd hit DVD/LD on my remote and press play. and that is what I can't get this av2000 to do.

Has anyone been successful at this?
Thanks in advance,
Ziad
