I have found your review extremely helpful. I originally wanted to get the AV2500. But I found a good price for both of them on the internet (AV2500 at $92 and AV3100 at $118). Both price are below the retail of the AV2500 which is $149.99. Which one is easier to use? Which one is easier to program? If you had the choice which one will you get? I think I like the label feature of the AV3100...
Thanks for the input.

Easier to use - they're both about the same. Probably and edge to the RM-AV2500 since all components have direct buttons and there no multiple pages per device.
Easier to program - goes to the RM-AV3100 due to its setup menu. Otherwise, assuming you don't care how to get to the setup items, they program about the same.
More powerful - obviously the RM-AV3100. More components, mode learned codes, more macros, more customization.
