Help!

I have a Sony RM-V302 remote that I'd like to program for my DVD/Receiver combo DAV-S300. Anyone have a code for this one?? I've tried all FAQ's, lists and tech sites and can't find help on this one.

Thanks!! :)

There are no built-in codes. Which means the RM-V302 won't work...

After the auto program sequence only local channels and no cable channels can be accessed by the remote control RM-V302. The TV screen shows that 125 cable channels have been programmed by the remote.

If it is a digital cable box and you haven't done so, you have to change the CBL/SAT button to SAT. See this thread [Link: remotecentral.com]

Since it is not in the code list, try a code search. If you don't find one, then you won't be able to control your Mustek DVD.

To do a search:
1. Turn on the DVD
2. Press and hold Set, then press the Power button
3. Press the DVD button on the 302
4. Press and release the Channel + button, then press the Power button
5. Repeat Step 4 until the DVD turns off; it may take 100 tries.
6. When the correct code is found, press the ENT button to store the code. If your DVD doesn’t work properly with this code, repeat steps 1-4 to see if you can find a better code.

If you need the manual, go here, when it opens, click on save, then download it to your desktop. I really doubt a code search will help, but it is worth a try.

I have the Sony RM-V301 and the Hughes HD10-250. There was not a pre-programmed 3-digit code that would work...but performing the Search for Code did yield a result that allows for channel up/down, guide, Tivo forward, reverse, pause and a few others. Just to clarify the process:

Press and release the "S" button.
Press the button for Cbl/Sat.
Press the Channel + button while watching the light on the receiver that blinks a little when a remote signal is received. Continue the Ch+, Enter, Ch+, Enter...until you see the light blink. Then press Enter. For me I think I had to press Ch+ about 6 times and it found it.

Good luck to any who read this.
