My original remote for my Panisonic DVD-R will allow me to push the buttons rapidly when creating a title for a DVD I've recorded, but the 3000 will not allow rapid button pushing... is there any way to set this so I can? It's very frustrating.

Did you learn the commands from your original DVD remote? If so, be sure to hold the DVD remote key down until the AV3000 beeps. If this doesn't work, try a quick press of the key; depends on the equipment. You should be able to duplicate the actions of the original remote in the AV3000.
