is there a way to backup the AV3000 settings and programmings so that they can be easily restored in the event of loss?
I'm open to all options - backup to PC, Palm or whatever else anyone might suggest.

As far as I know, the only way to back up your 3000 is to buy another 3000 and transfer the data from one to the other. There is no way that I am aware of to transfer to a PC, PDA, etc.
