Is there any way to choose amongst the three options on the pre-done LCD buttons? I would appreciate it if anyone knows how to do this (or if it is even possible...)

On the AV3000, when in learning mode, press on the device name at the top of the screen, and then press the selected button repeatedly until the desired name comes up. When it does, release the device name button and you are ready to teach your command. If a key has a learned command, you will have to clear the command before you can change the button. You are limited to the titles shown on the key, unlike label keys which can be changed to anything you want.

Thanks for the info...it works beautifully!
My next question is how do you rename the Component label on the AV3000? (not the hard buttons, rather the LCD labels when you press OTHER)

Commander off/menu/other
Select component key to be changed, and press
Press the component name at the top of the screen for two seconds and the letter/numbers will appear for labelling.
When done making the change, hit return
Commander off, and you're done.
