Just got done programming my Sony RV-AV3000 and, since there's no specific component for my projector, I decided to use the TV command set from the factory and learn my pj commands into the existing keys.

Unfortunately, there are a number of keys still left on the screen (e.g. Sleep, ANT/SW, PIP On/Off, etc.) that aren't doing anything but cluttering up the display.

Is there any way to remove these keys from the touch display? I've tried to delete the function behind them but the remote won't let me leave the editing stage without learning something in its' place.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Cheers!

- Ed.

Commander off/muting
Learn
Component button
While holding down the DEL key, touch the key you want to hide. It should now flash every other time, then release the DEL key
Press Commander Off until the screen goes blank
Your unused keys should be hidden now.
If you have hidden a key by mistake, follow the same procedure until it is flashing every time, and then it will be visible.
See: "To display only the frequently used keys" on page 22 of the operating instructions.

Ron, what can I say? You are DA man! Of course, I like your reference to the manual. I swear I read a lot of it, just not all of it... D'OH! :-)

I'm usually an RTFM kind of guy.

Thanks so much for the assist. Worked like a charm!

Cheers!

The manual reference was more for the new owners who would see your question and, needing an aswer, would read further. Happy to help out.
