Got a new tv and looking for an ideal unit to operate as fully as possible the following equipment:
Sony 34XBR800
panny vcr
panny dvd player
mitsubishi vcr
magnavox vcr
I especially like the joystick mode on the Sony TV remote and hope a replacement incorporates that function. The rm-y188 has a flimsy flip top that I'm sure I'll break with time (like the mits remote). This universal remote's functions are under the flip top and are very basic transport functions only.
I do use the VCR's daily and fear that the TV/Video button on the rm-y188 may die prematurely from overuse overuse.
Hope to spend less than $100 and have a one hand operation.
