The RM-Y188 remote that came with a Sony KP-57WV600 TV doesn't control a Hughes GXCEBOT DirectTV/Tivo receiver when programmed with code 804 (the only code for Hughes under the 'sattellite reciver' section of the 'manufacturer codes' page of the owner's manual). It does however control an earlier model Hughes receiver (mod. HIRD-D1).
Does anyone know a code that will work, or if perhaps the firmware on this remote can be upgraded?

Since the Hughes tivo is using the Philips code, check for Philips, and tivos are usually under vcr codes.
