Just got one and paid top price locally so returning it wouldn't be a hassle, and I really am not turned on by it. yeah the programming is cool and the learning capabilities are functional, but that damn display doesn't have enough contrast. You almost have to turn the light on depending which way you are looking. And the sheer bulk of it. It would be ok if you could see the diplay at all angles that way you can leave it on the table or the arm of your chair but you can't tell what you are looking at. I currently own the URC 8090 and love the RF. it doesn't have any learning ability and won't work most of my features but I also don't have a problem with seeing the display. Probably because it has some ergonomics to it regardless of its size. I'll give it one more day but I really think I'll be returning it and either waiting for the next thing affordable. Once you've had RF, It sure is difficult to live without!

Is everyone elses display really bad in the daytime? or is it just mine? seems alot better in the dark. unless you turn on the light, the grid lines are very distracting.

Well, I can't offer much except that I don't find the screen hard to read in regular room lighting. This is one of the problems with touchscreens in general, the added materials on top reduce visibility. If you have any specific questions be sure to let me know.
