Is the AV2000 capable of transmitting RF signals? I need a universal remote that can work my RCA 5451 DSS (RF mode, 5451 is not in line of sight w/ my viewing area), as well as my Sony 925 receiver, A110 DVD etc. Anyone else using the AV2000 w/ the RCA 5451 (RF mode)?? Thanks in advance.. Alf

Sorry, it can't send RF signals. I can't think of any learning remote that does both IR and RF that costs under $1000. There's a few RF addons you can purchase that work with any remote, but I'm not familiar with them.

Buy the IR remote (Pronto,AV2000, etc.) and add an IR repeater to the system. Put an accessible IR receiver in the wall, on the cabinet, etc. and then run the emitters to the equipment. Solves the hidden equipment problem and is cheaper and easier than converting everything to RF. Get Xantech or other decent brand of IR repeaters from a good hifi dealer to insure it working the best.
