OK, first the problem...
My RM-AV2000, even while off, occasionally turns on my Sony STR-DE425 receiver and then switches it to the radio tuner. Is something permanently wrong or can this be remedied? Has anyone else had something similar happen?
Now the pet peeve...
"Sound field" is spelled wrong on the remote's display. It reads "Sound feild"! How could they not have caught that?

Sean: This indeed a strange problem. The AV2000 should NOT be randomly sending signals when off.
The misspelling was noticed almost a year ago - the going consensus was that since the predecessor to the AV2000 was the Japanese AV1000, when they converted it to English no one noticed the spelling error on the LCD design. I really would have thought they'd immediately correct the problem, but perhaps Sony felt it wasn't important enough.

I put all of my old remotes deep into my desk drawer, in case one of them is sending some kind of signal. In the meantime I will keep an eye on when and under what conditions the amp turns on and switches over. This has only started happening since purchasing the remote.
