Not friday the 13., but almost: Saturday the 13.
The combination of a 4 and a half year kid and a glass of orange juice turned out disastrous to the original remote of my 2 days old (!) Harman/Kardon AVR-75.
One of the first things I decided once i unpacked the original remote was that I needed a better one than the original. So when that kid emptyed his glass over the remote that only accelerate that buy.
Lokaly these tree alternatives exist (within my price range): Sony RH-AV2000 (in store) Marantz RC2000 (MkII ?) (in store) Remote Angel (Identical to Rotel RR990) (one week delivery).
The logical question is then which one to buy. Of course I want the The Harman/Kardon Take Control, but I have not been able to find any price here in Norway (if it exist in any shop). For comparison to US prices: Those above are priced to 1200-1500 NOK, and with a 7.5 NOK to USD : 160-200 USD.
I will of course need to borrow a AVR-75 remote to program any not pre-defined functions, and hope the new remote does not forget too easy. Should perhaps buy a new origial remote in any case.
The Sony is the only one of those remotes listed above I have seen and felt, but will it be the best of these three...? I have a Sony TV and VCR, a Onkyo CD-player in addittion to my new (but now crippled)H/K AVR75. DVD is due this summer, but I have not decided yet.
Ragnar Allways confused but filled with unused oppinions.
