Don;t know if you have HIFI Buys where you are but they carry them for the MSRP of $179.95. I just picked mine up today. They always stock them. I love mine except for the fact that it will not work with a sony "TouchVision" receiver which is mind boggling to me. Especially since my receiver cost a grand and the remote cost $200. Oh well, what can you do? Latr, John.

As far as I know, the vision touch system is impossible to reproduce with anything other than the original "egg" remote, since it uses RF controls. Plus, NO all-in-one remote can replace the egg. It's just the way it was designed.

It's a bit strange to see people complaining about the egg remotes, really, since the only *real* difference between the graphical models and the next receiver down is that one uses the on-screen "egg" interface and the other uses a plain infared remote.

Interesting. I thought the "Egg" remotes only were in Europe. I have a 1015G, and it has a huge remote that does everything (I live in the US). It is definately IR, and it has a small IR field to boot.
The only real problem with this remote, is that it doesn't have a channel up/down button. I don't know how they could have left this off. You have to use the VisionTouch to change the channels up and down with the joydisk, which may require several clicks.

I just bought an RM-AV2000 from J&R (www.jandr.com) for $119.99 plus another $5 or $6 for shipping and handling. They were very nice. I mentioned the computability.com price and the fact the folks on this board had gotten the <120 price. Easy deal.
