Sony's web page ([Link: sel.sony.com]) states:

"Automatic input select lets you program the Amplifier or Television to select a source component as soon as you hit the corresponding Component Select key"

Note the "or" in that statement. I need it to be "and."

I need it to switch both the receiver and the tv input selects. If I am watching tv, the receiver is set to 'tv/dbs' and the tv is set to 'cable tuner'. If I press the DVD input select, the DVD should turn on, the receiver switch to 'dvd' and the tv switch to 'Video2'. Can the RM-AV2000 do it?

Also, I don't have direct video input select on my Toshiba CN35F90's remote. The only way to do it is to have a macro that presses 'channel up', which forces the tv to select 'tuner' and then press tv/video the appropriate number of times.

The AV2000 only allows ONE signal to be attached to a component select button - either your receiver's input or your TV's input. However, if your TV doesn't have direct video selection there would be no way to specify a specific video input with a single signal.

You may want to take a look at the Pronto which allows you to attach a whole macro to component buttons.
