I am trying to control my cable-box (General Instruments CFT 2200) with the SOny remote RM-y118 which came with my TV. I followed the instructions to program it using the codes provided in the manual. I tried all the codes,no codes seem to work for the cable box. Any thoughts? email me or post...Thanks David

If none of the codes work and the remote can't learn signals there's nothing you can do... it seems General Instruments has a few unique/newer code structures that aren't covered by most pre-programmed units.
