Got my AV2000 yesterday and set it up fairly easily, but ran into a few problems/issues. Can anyone answer these?

1. Although the book discusses the ability to add a page for a DSP, there is NO documentation on how to do it. I have an ADCOM digital sound processor and would like to "teach" it's functions onto the DSP page if there is in fact one.

2. Is there any way to automatically make the backlight come on when you press *any* key? I don't like having to press the LIGHT key every time I have to access a key on the touchpad - my roomn is fairly dark and I can't see anything on the screen without it.

3. How can I change the label for a given key that was just learned to another choice for that key - i.e. change "P IN P" from the TV page to say "SHIFT". It's already there physically in the LCD - can I exchange the text?

Other than that, the unit is excellent! I have a 30 foot range with this remote - longer than my originals!

Thanks

Tom

Shoot! Just saw the previous post on DSP modes - sorry about the redundancy.

1) Glad you found the answer!

2) The only way the light comes on is when you press the "light" key.

3) There's no way to choose which label will appear on what button - though there may be up to four available on each button, it's pre-programmed as to what is displayed where.

1. Nope - after trying the answer on page 27, it doesn't work. In step 2, there is no way to select a 'DSP' as the page to assign to the Component Select button. I know, because I've tried every possible key sequence to reassign a page to another Comp. Select key. Must be an error in the document.

2. Sorry to hear this.

3. Sorry to hear this.

The AV2000 is a great product, despite these monor flaws, however.

Tom: So you know, I've put a call into Sony on your behalf. They couldn't immediately solve the problem (or tell me it was an oversight) so I'm expecting a call back on Monday, though due to CES it may be a few days longer.

Strange that Sony still has not responded to this yet, huh Daniel? Wierd, a feature that is documented but no one know how to use it! Hmm.

I got a call back on Monday (sorry for not reporting). Basically, the guy had no idea how to get DSP labels to appear... I admit I'm stumped too. :-P
