I don't know what my problem is, but I can't seem to make the RM-AV2000 learn any signals for the component selection buttons. I follow the directions on page 25, at step two I press off, volume and channnel plus. 'learn' lights up, and 'VCR' starts flashing. That's it. I tried sending it some signals from my remote just incase it was determined to learn a signal for 'VCR', but nothing happened. There isn't a VCR button without a number following it, anyway. What am I doing wrong? According to the manual after step 2 I should select the component button, but it doesn't let me do that.
Help!

I'm not sure what the problem is. You hit POWER OFF, VOLUME UP and CHANNEL UP at the same time. Then LEARN comes on and every single component name should come on, but only the ones that haven't had a signal already programmed will flash.
If the item you want isn't flashing, hold down RESET and press the component select button to reset it. Then, hit the component name you want to program and "learn" it like any other button.
If this still doesn't work I don't know what to say...
