Does anyone know what the code is for Time Warner's new Cable Box (General Instruments CFT 2200) - nothing seems to work. Also, for some reason the remote gives an error when trying to program two of the codes for GI - 018 and 043.

I know I use the learn function, but in this case I can't seem to get the Channel Up/Down button to change several channels if I keep it depressed for several seconds (no repeat functionality).

Any help would be appreciated.

I helped a friend setup a RM-LV900 with a GI cable box over the last weekend. (I don't remember the model###).

None of the codes worked, so we had to learn every command that they thought they would need. Everything worked fine. Including the channel up/down repeat.

A dumb question...Did you hold down the GI box's buttons continuously while learning them? If you did, then I admit I'm a bit stumped.

FWIW, I was VERY impressed with the 900 remote. It's a nice size and the buttons are arranged fairly decent. THE remote under $60? (I'm not very crazy about searching for and punching codes ad infinitum that the OFA's require.)

I had a similar problem programing my Scientific Atlanta Digital Cable Box used by TWC in my area.

After some thougt, I figured out that the CBL/SAT button is programed by default as a SAT device. This means it is expecting SAT codes, which is why some of the CBL codes give an error.

Use the Assign another componet feature, and assign CBL, number 9, to the CBL/SAT button. You will now be able to input CBL codes without error, and should find one that will work.
