Losing Sat signal alot lately. Box has to reboot and its very annoying. Seems Cablevision gives you more HD channals and does not charge for them either! What do you think? Switch?

Sounds like a bad mounting job.
I just dealt with this very issue on Monday.
I repointed the dish for a client that was tired of waiting for Directv to come out and do it.
When I got up to the dish, I couldn't believe the terrible mounting job they did.
The 5LNB dish was sagging under it's own weight.
They had used the "J" pipe attachment method.
Then put the lateral struts so low that it could not help but lean forward under it's own weight.

If your dish is solidly mounted you might check to see if there are obstructions in the way now that were not at the time the dish was installed.

HD channels and not be charged for them?
HMMMM,..........Switch!
Not "Comfortably Broke" anymore just plain broke.

Another possibility is tree interference, with the foliage at its peak in the summer you could be experiencing interference you don't get at other times of the year. Directv can be a pain, but overall I thinks it a better product than cable.

Just had a conversation with the commercial rep and he warned me that the H20 boxes were having a huge problem with rebooting and lockup. Apparently their are two boxes the H20-600 and the H20-100 and you can't tell the difference, but the 100 is the one that you want. They think it is heat related

I think Mitch was right about repositioning, remounting and or pointing the the dish. I have had DTV since it first came out and the only time it ever gives me a problems is during a heavy rain.
I remember the horrible days of cable where the reception on the channels is so different (bad) and it was down soooooooo often. The customer no response was terrible even if i could get through. The picture on my DTV is the same on all channels (excellent) and since 1990-91 it has never ever been down. Anytime i have called DTV they go out of there way to correct anything! A cable salesman came to my door once and i told him he couldn't pay me $1000 to change!
My 2 cents and good luck

I was involved in moving one of the new dishes, and the side supports for the J-arm are a joke.

I carefully leveled the top of the pipe, then put the dish onto it. It sagged about a half inch, well out of level. So I tried compensating for this by adjusting the side supports. The collar that goes around the pipe is so loose, and made of steel so bendable, that I was not able to use these to stabilize the pipe at all. If I'm ever up there again, I'm going to drill holes through the side support collars and insert some stainless steel screws. THEN I could use them as they are intended.

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
