Anyone know the best way to keep snow or ice from coating the dish and interfering w/ reception? Covers or some sort of lubricant spray?

If a spray lubricant, what kind and where do you get it? Don't lubricants attract dust and dirt?

Thanks much!

Bill, you can buy a heated dish, believe it or not. Check out PartsExpress.com. There are other sources, too.

Besides a heated dish, there are covers available. You could try spraying silicone on the dish, but that would only work until the rain washed it away.

Wax it with car wax. It will last probably all winter and works great. I never have a problem after I do mine.

But they don't work if you have a Power Failure.. :-)

Absolutely! In fact, I will even provide the first 100 feet.

(Besides, Mr. Russell, if the power is off, you can't watch TV anyway.)

That's not the only thing that won't work if you have a power failure!

if you use wax or silicone, you could build up a residue. Use Pam cooking spray. It's water soluible. You'll have to re apply about very three months but you won't have to remove your dish to clean it.
