Looking for information concerning the off-centering of the HD100 dss display on the sony 42" plasma unit. This only seems to happen on the vga input.. the centering utility on the plasma can't move the image far enough over... I tried swapping both the HD100 and the plasma... Sony has no answers...

hog,
the good people of Sony have left you in the lurch. You may have heard that the hd100 has been discontinued...
I had success with that combo using the component outputs...as I recall I had the problem with the VGA output...have you tried the component out with a breakout cable to hd15? I think that's the only way.
If I were you, I would demand my money back and get one of the RCA's or a Panasonic...the Sony was such a disappointment in many ways.
good luck

Do yourself a favor and get yourself an RCA DTC-100 and a Audio Authority 15 pin adapter and you'll be all set. Then you go to the screen componant instead of VGA. Which gives you centering on the DTC-100 and color and tint control because the screen doesn't think it's looking at a computer because you're not going in VGA.
