Does anyone know if there is a product that will take either an S or composite video signal and convert it to component format? I recently read a review of the new Kenwood VR-5900 A/V receiver that has such a feature (I think) and would like to be able to do this with my set up but don't want to pony up $3k for a new receiver.

Not really worth the money if you ask me. Esp since it really won't improve your signal, just ease your connections.

Here's a standalone transcoder. It probably costs as much as the Kenwood though.
