I have a DISH RF receiver. I've received different opinions on whether or not the receiver is also IR capable. Anyway, I'm considering buying a Pronto universal remote. Will the remote control my Dish receiver?

THANKS!!!

If it is the 4700 (4722 means the set of the 4700 receiver and dish), yes the Pronto will work fine. I have this and have used several IR universal remotes with it.

The reason you're getting mixed answers is because the 4000 could only do one or the other. You had to switch it from IR to RF. (or maybe it couldn't do IR at all, not sure) Anyway, the 4700 fixed this, it does both at the same time. I use the RF remote in my second room and an IR universal in the room with the receiver. Both work all the time.
