Someone please help before I go nuts? Here is the deal!
Kind of new on the HT front and the Widescreen front but something with Sony is driving me crazy. I just purchased the kp53hs10 widescreen Tv and Dav-s300 surround sound dvd system and all I want is to use one remote to turn everything on and off and sony says that the dav cannot be done this way and that the only remote that will work the Dav is the one supplied. Bull! I went to Sears and used another AV remote of theirs and turned it on and off fine. The deal is I just want one remote to do most everything.I even considered buying the 2100 but the lady at sony said that would not work. I find this more than difficult to believe. If the remote that they supply with the unit will work then that means it has a code, right? One of the features of the tv is the side by side PIP features that I would really like to use. Any help here would be more than appreciated. All I really wanted to do at first was to get the DVD button on the tv remote to turn on the Dvd?Tim
