I have a Sony Wega KV-32XBR400 which came with a Sony RM-Y174 Universal Remote. I am using Shaw Digital Cable here in Ontario Canada which uses a General Instruments DCT 2000 Digital Cable Terminal. The number on the bottom of the machine is DCT2224/1261/ACDEGK.

I entered a code for a Jerrold/G.I. cable box which worked for the basic setting, for instance channel up and down. But it does not give me the use of the guide button. Anyone know what codes I should enter?

I doubt there are any -- the problem with pre-programmed remotes is codes are often missed (or the manufacturer changes them after said remote ships). You can try any other Jerrold/GI cable boxes, but since the code you entered mostly works it's probably the best match possible.
