WUTV website list July 29th as Rescan day.

I guess CITS-DT and WNLO will make the switch at that time too.

In other news, the WBXZ-LP application to move to  is under review; Corus objected to the move.

According to Dominic Mancuso, VP/General manager at WIVB/WNLO, they planned switching to RF36 on July 27 pending technical work. He thought WUTV's announcement may have been a bit early.

Later in the day he E-mailed that it now looks like August 2nd for both stations.

Appears WVIB is the key to the switch.

WBXZ move to RF 23 is being blocked by Global RF 23 near Paris approval. The move would cause .54% interference!Give me a break .Such small area of interference and its completely in the coverage area of Global Toronto transmitter.Let him stay on RF 17 and cause much more interference to Global Toronto new RF 17 signal..5% interference is the agreed amount of acceptable interference under repack rules.

WIVB can't switch to  unless CITS-DT switches too.

WIVB also has to Coordinate with WENY Elmira NY.
Here is a link for the FCC site that shows WUTV Upstream Dependencies within Linked Set, now applies to WIVB/WNLO. CITS-DT Hamilton and WENY Elmira NY are here

Well, this in from Mr. Yoder at WIVB:

I can now confirm that on July 29th, we will trade frequencies with WUTV. This will put us in Colden effective July 29th on RF36. WUTV will take over RF32 in Grand Island.

Thanks Warren, Rob and Arnold393.  Wow all this stations switching at once, probably overnight.

That might bugger up my PVR settings if I can't do a simple edit to the CW_EPG files.

Just a reminder WPXJ-DT  is one of eleven stations changing frequencies during the current phase 4.  It will move to Cowlesville on  on August 02.  This will provide a stronger signal into the GTA; if you don't already receive it, you probably will.

WNLO/WIVB has applied for an STA. They are going to put up a temporary antenna at 500 KW until they install the full power antenna. So WNLO will operate out of Colden NY at 500 KW not 800 KW, until they install their newer antenna.  Here is the app. [Link: enterpriseefiling.fcc.gov]

For me its not as simple as rescanning a TV, for Cliff Watson EPG to work,
channels have to be mapped to correspond to data from Schedules Direct, too hot to concentrate, already made mistakes on practice computer.
Time to RTFM again, but same...to damn hot to think.
I'm a "set it and forget it" type, like that commercial.
Too many people outside building making noise.
It would help if Daniel could update his chart.
For now, have written on old fashioned paper the channel changes.
Not going to be happy when Global moves off of 41, where I get it fine right now.
EDIT: Mostly fixed, only have to re-map the changed channels to the Electronic Program Guide[requires a bit of programming] even got
the ION channels moved to RF24 in prep for Saturday.
Wish I could afford A/C for this dump. Too poor, dammit.
