HI Guys,

I bought a brand new LG 3D television from dubai and bought it with me to Toronto. Recently I purchased a Terk HDTVa indoor antenna for my apartment and tried to connect it to my television. But unfortunately , the coaxial cable from my antenna has a bigger outer cap than my TV input. It does not fit into the input thus preventing a connection. Please check the pics below and advise if i could get an adapter of some sort, or where can i go in toronto to change the outer cap of the antenna, so that i can finally watch OTA cable!!

I have run into a few of these connectors in the past and I think I have an answer for you.

There's an adaptor made for American connectors that you screw the F connector (the one on the cable in your photos) so that you can just push on and easily pull off your American connector on an American TV. The thing is, the push-on part also pushes nicely onto your European antenna connector, so you can screw your connector onto one end, then push the other end onto the TV.

It looks like this:

That one comes from mouser electronics and other places have them, too.

If you happen to be in the Los Angeles area I can probably recommend a place to find them, too, but it will probably be cheaper to buy from mouser. If you do and it doesn't work, send me a private message and I'll tell you how to tweak it so it will connect.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

foxdie344,

It looks like you need an F-to-Pal adapter, specifically an "F ADAPTER JACK-PAL PLUG" adapter. These are available at Sayal (sayal dot com). They have several stores in the general Toronto area. Search for "f pal adapter" on their website, then click the "more details" button for a large picture and stock levels. They have them in stock at several of their stores.
