My Pioneer Kuro on screen guide started showing a message about how the guide and guide + would no longer be working as of Nov 1. Mine just went blank yesterday.

Anyone here know anything more about this?
If I change my settings to a Canadian stream will it work?

So far, changing my settings to a Canadian postal code has brought the guide back to life. For how long, have to wait and see. I haven't seen the notification come up on the side bar yet either.

If you are referring to the TV Guide on-screen guide, WNED stopped supplying it as of November 1 (not WNED's decision, Rovi Corp demanded the equipment back - Rovi are exiting this business).

For the moment, CFTO still supplies TV Guide on-screen guide although it is expected to end as well sometime between now and April 30, 2013.

So at some point we will have no on screen TV guide and have to rely on using the web to see whats on and when.
Even Tivo is only good with cable and Satellite in Canada. And I assume some of the Off air DVR boxes available utilize TVGOS, so they will become somewhat usless too.
Anyone know of any other solutions?

sirroundsound, "Even Tivo is only good with cable and Satellite in Canada" - you've got it backwards. Tivo is GOOD for OTA in Canada (I have one) and not so good for cable as Rogers, etc. don't supply cable cards to decrypt it (TiVo will accept analog cable in Canada but that's scheduled to be shutdown very soon - Rogers, etc. want everyone to have one of their own STBs).

Pretty much all Toronto/Buffalo area stations provide PSIP on the OTA signals although many only have about 12 hours worth.

Don't have Tivo or Divco's Tivx, I just do manual programming with this

for OTA. CBC is most useless in the missing PSIP data and it has priority with me [so I don't miss stuff like Nature of Things/DocZone] since I can't always download their stuff. Some exemptions are Arctic Air, as it has international appeal. Mostly going to downloading gets me the few pay-tv stuff I like, example Primeval and it's "Space" spin-off. Game of Thrones etc. or even "Bones" when it runs on FOX longer than an hour,
cutting off the very ending when the one DIY PVR switches to record "2 Broke Girls" and I'm not home.
