Was watching CFTO in Digital 9.1 HD this morning around 9AM. Had Regis and Kelly in HD. Did anyone else notice and when will it be permanent? The signal was gone by 10AM.

CFTO HD 9.1 from Toronto?. Its been there for over 5 years now!. Glad that you just noticed anyways, lol. just kidding. the fact that you lost the signal does not necessarilly mean that it is gone for the rest of us enjoying free OTA HD TV. Try moving or relocating your antenna as needed. if you give us more details of your antena setup we will gladly help you further. here you will find a list of all available channels for the GTA. [Link: remotecentral.com]. tipically you should get also Global , CBC, OMNI 1 and 2 , Sun TV and City TV all in digital format and almost all with HD programming almost all day nowadays.

Sounds like you're outside of the normal reception range. Let us know where you are and what kind of antenna system you have, and maybe your reception can be improved.

That CFTO signal is on Channel 40.1 from the CN Tower - where CKXT will be going eventually...

CKXT has applied to drop its OTA signal, so while CFTO does plan to relocate to channel 9 on August 31, there is no telling who will be on 40, if anyone at all.

If CFTO has some of the reception problems on channel 9 that some of the VHF stations had in the US, it's possible they could attempt to keep channel 40.

9-1 has been gone for me since Sunday. I'm on the 20th floor in an apartment 15min east of downtown Toronto facing North and I have never had a problem getting it before. So something is up with the signal.

Never mind, just discovered it's now on 40-4.

CFTO's PSIP occasionally goes "bad" for some reason. 40-4 is what happens when it's not working right.
