Recently our local channels that we receive over HD have been 'scrambling', it happens after watching them for just a minute or two, it is only the local ones, the expanded hd channels are fine. I've called numerous times to the cable company and I get a run around about how it's b/c of with the digital switch they're now coming over the airwaves or something and there's not much they can do about it, are they serious?? We haven't seen a show on a local channel, much less be able to watch the news in about a month and I'm beyond aggravated. Is there something on my end that can be done? New box? Last year we had to replace our tv and so we got a nice plasma set and went ahead with the hd channels to make it better, now it just all seems like a big $$ waste. I'd appreciate any help or tips you can give! Thank you!

Cable company? , then call them and complain since you are a paying customer not getting the proper service you pay for. By scrambling I assume you mean like pixeleating (or whatever is properly written) or macroblocks , if that is the case then your digital cable box or service is the culprit since its missing digital data. Could be a bad connector or a bad cable but in any case you are a paying customer and they have to send a Tech free of charge to you to fix it. It reminds me when I visit friends of mine that have digital cable service and during my stay I have seen more picture issues than with my no defunct Bell satellite service.

BTW , Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy the stay.
