This morning, I noticed that WNGS (Digital Channel 7) from Springville (NY) was starting to come in here in Niagara Falls (NY). Has three channels (7-1, 7-2, and 7-3). Signal is currently choppy here in Niagara Falls (NY).

Yeah... I get WNGS north of Toronto too when there is an inversion. Not worthy of watching though. The wonky colour bars are more interesting than the video content. When there is an inversion happening, my kids take over and watch Qubo.

When WNGS first arrived in Springville, it seemed like a few short weeks later their five million watt transmitter would start up and transmit from the WKBW tower site.

Fourteen or so years later, the ATSC version of this rare QSL may appear in a few weeks from the WKBW site.

The impression about this station is that little has been done since Miss Powley opened the station.

Will WNGS be our Loch Ness Monster - seen but not quite confirmed.

Are you and Daniel sure that there's a 67.3? All I get is 67.1, though I don't care for religious programming anyhow.

as of right now its only 67.1 THIS movies and 67.2 religious. 67.3 was color bars and now its off. Yes they are weak and still operating on a 200' section of Rohn tv tower at their house in Springville. The talk of moving to WKBW tower is just talk at this time.

American Towers has a tower north of, but near Springville. This structure has some old 1950s style horn antennas on it; the FCC has them coming from that tower with their 26,000 watt signal. American Towers promotional page has them on the north side of the structure.

RWAS may be correct in his present remarks, we could be receiving the occasion skip of the 15,000 transmitter.

I don't receive WNGS and I don't expect that to change, I am just to far out of range of there signal in Wellsville. However it looks like WNGS is going to carry ME TV a new classic TV network. Here is their web site,
http://www.metvnetwork.com/
on that site there is a box to search a zip code, put in the code and you see the option to put the WNGS ME TV schedule. I also notice that WNGS has a new web site.

I was getting WNGS in St. Catharines, but then it disappeared. I got an email response from the advertising guy on a Saturday. His reply to the signal upgrade was pretty vague but promising...

We will be upgrading in the future.
21 live Yankees games, some against Toronto are coming beginning April.

There's the contact if anyone want's to ask him any more specifics.

TVFOOL.com shows their signal goes pretty far north. Looks like it reaches to Markham and Oshawa, but weak.

Of interest to me is that Time Warner Cable only appears to carry WNGS in Erie county, and Time Warner is the almost the only Cable TV service in western NY. WNGS is being carried via satellite to western NY. I can't blame Time Warner for not carrying WNGS out of Eire county, WNGS over air signal is hard to receive outside of Eire county, but I also know Time Warner video head end is in the Buffalo area and they are piping all the other off air signals from Buffalo across their western NY system, I wonder why they exclude WNGS. Since WNGS is carried by Time Warner cable in Erie County and by satellite providers across western NY, I doubt WNGS is that concern about their over air signal.

Is WNGS on Dish Network? I ask this because as a subscriber, WNGS comes up via antenna through my Dish HD receiver as "Digital Service" Like all the Canadian Channels. With the exception of WNYB 26-2 and 26-3, every other Buffalo station I get comes up in the guide with program info on that channel. I thought Dish only showed program info for channels they carried as locals...but I could be wrong.

FYI Daniel: There's a blue moon in St. Catharines this evening! Here's what I noticed: 67-1 is WNGS, 67-2 is THIS! and 67-3 is Daystar. Yup, there's 67-2.

Ironically, WNGS was coming in at 67%
