I have rogers net, and I split the cable so I have free cable the basic QAM list you guys have been talking about. I have all those music chans and on demand ones. My question is for the on demand chans. I have a rogers remote I was wondering if there was a way to use the A,B,C functions on the rogers remote without their cable box?

The cable is plugged direct into my Viewsonic TV. I got the remote to control the tv but I think I have to program the cable side of the remote but don't know if its possible without the box. Thanks in advance I figured was worth a try.

No, not possible. You can't actually watch anything, those "on demand" channels you can see on your TV are just used as placeholders for Rogers boxes (meaning all you'll looking at is a static image, there's nothing there to actually be interactive with).
