Just wondering if anyone else noticed any audio issues with the digital audio out for CBC 5-1, ABC 7-1 and WNED 17-1.

It seems that the audio cuts out on the stations and it seems to be only on certain broadcasts. All sports broadcast seem to be fine but then the commercials will cut out and other programs there is no audio.

When the audio cuts out I can use the regular audio out and everything is fine only the optical audio out is failing.

All other stations are fine only these 3 I have noticed the issue. I have had the same setup for a couple of years now with no issues. These audio issues have only started in the last couple of weeks.

Might have to do with your A/V receiver. Stations sometimes change audio formats (ie. 5.1 to 2.0) abruptly and it might be "confusing" your DD decoder.

Thanks for the reply Daniel and you are right it was my receiver. Turns out I had the front speakers off so when it went to 2 channel i did not get the sound. Oops. Never bothered to check the speakers since the sound seemed fine. Sound should be better on all the channels now that the I have the front speakers on :-P.
