Would I pick up *any* hdtv using an indoor antenna in a basement in westend Toronto? Even if just one or two channels I'd be curious to see it. If this is possible, which antenna should I buy?

I would say "yes", because I've done it in Markham with the crummy tiny non-amplified antenna that came with a USB HDTV tuner, but it was only 1.5 channels (one decent, one glitchy). I can't help on indoor antennas as I don't use them, but larger is usually better, and get something amplified.

I have a home built 4 bay, it's in a south facing window, aimed at the CN Tower, I get:

5-1, 9-1, 41-1, 44-1, 57-1, 64-1, 66-1, the only Toronto station that I do not get in HD, is 19, but nobody does, because they have not built it yet.

I don't get any US stations, I don't get Hamilton either.

Who? Me?

Nope, I am in the basement of a house, now it helps that I am near the highest point in the city.
