Cox Motorola DCH6416 is resetting output resolution from 1080i to 720p and Dynamic range from wide to narrow. Seems like it's I set it up to better res./wide range one day, then when I turn it on next day, it's back to lower settings.
Annoying.

Did anybody fixed that problem before?

Solution . Leave it on lower settings, lol.

Now seriously, I suppose you have both devices connected via HDMI and more likely during "handshaking" everytime you power on them, the TV forces the box to select the lower settings. I am also assuming the TV native resolution is 720p and among other things hence this behavior. Check all settings in the menu for both devices just in case.

Several issues have been reported regarding HDMI and this Cox/STB but could not find an specific explanation on the net.

I've noticed, if I leave Cox box on 1080i, and Dynamic range on narrow this problem does not happen.
TV is 47LH40 by LG, 1080p, and I connect everything trough HDMI and Marantz AVR.
