I just placed an order at http://www.buyitnow.com/ for the RCA DTC100 HDTV/DSS convertor... Heard originally that it requires a different dish.. Then heard that it did not. Anyone know for sure and if it does require a new dish any clue where to get one? http://www.buyitnow.com/ does not have them.. The good news is they have (at least that is what I was told when I called to confirm) them in stock and was told it would ship within 5 days so considering I chose 2nd day air should have on or before 11.19.99! WOO HOO!

The answer is Yes and No. If you want to receive DirecTV's High Def feeds you will need either the DirecTV Plus eliptical dish OR two seperate smaller dishes. The reason is that the normal DirecTV channels and the HD channels are on two seperate birds (satelites). The eliptical (oval) dish can receive both signals and comes with a box that mixes the signal together. I purchased my eliptical dish from Best Buy @ $199.00.

the problem with using two dishes is that you need the 4 input multi switch that comes with the new dish
