Hello all.

I have 2 Directv recievers, the H20 and and H23. Both are the HD models. The H20 is in my living room where I have my home theater setup. The new H23 has coaxial audio output and I have been looking to hook it up to my sound system. The H20 has only a optical output and that connection is already taken in the reciever by my PS3. I thought I could just switch the recievers and that would be it. However some HD channels do not work on the H23 after I tried to do this. That includes FoxNewsHD, CNNHD, and NBCHD. These channels also dont work on my H20 that I put in my bedroom. After switching it back to original config, these channels work. What could be the problem and how do i get around it?

I've read your post three times. Ignoring the digital audio situation, to simplify, when you switch the receivers, the same group of channels is missing on each one. Is that right?

Are those the only two receivers you've got?

If you have more than those two, please tell us what other receivers you have, and describe your multiswitch setup, if you have one. Please include all model numbers.

When you switched the two, did you rerun the satellite setup on each one once you found you did not get all stations as before? It doesn't make sense to have to do that, but it might help anyway.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Sorry about the confusng post.

Yes the the same group of channels were missing after i switched them.

I only mentioned 2 recievers because i didnt think the others were important.
I actually have 4 recievers . They are: 2 H20's, 1 H23, and 1 SD standard reciever.

I reran the satellite setup on the both recievers.

When you say they "don't work" do you mean they are mssing from the guide or that you get 771 searching for sat signal messages when you try to select them?

They show up on the guide but I get the 771 code. The SD versions of same channels work fine.

Did you remember to remove the BBC from the cable when you switched the receivers? The H23 does not need a BBC.
